Thank you for your interest in using Art House or the Babcock Theater for your event. Whether it's a private screening, public event, fundraiser or party, we love to serve our community through our venues. To best serve you, we ask that you first answer some questions about what you are hoping for your event. This will allow us to get you the best understanding and price for what we offer.

Who will be selling the tickets?

We recommend utilizing our ticketing system, unless you are already equipped with a legitimate ticketing service, such as Eventbrite.

If you are selling tickets to your event we ask that you use our ticketing system. This is to help your customers for your event. We handle many calls and questions for every event we host. If we are hosting the ticket sales, this allows us to stay in the know and best serve you and your customers throughout the entire event.

Is this a general admission ticketed event or seated?

Ticket hosting is a 7-10% fee on all tickets sold. This is to cover all hosting, phone calls, website creation, and credit card fees. The exact percentage is based on general admission vs. seated ticketing.

Event Type Info
HINT - If you would like to screen a film at some point during your event, this would classify as a "film screening". There can be many add-ons and other things happening with your event, but if you're watching a film, it would be a "film screening".

Will you need the use of the projector and screen in the theater?

PLEASE NOTE: For PUBLIC events, we must secure screening rights for your film. The cost for these rights can range from $150-$500+. Renter is required to pay these screening fees upfront before we can book your film. If your event is PRIVATE, these fees do not apply and you are welcome to pick whatever film you desire.

Please Note: Any film that is available to stream or is on DVD is allowed to be screened for your event.

Will you need any tables set up?

Please keep in mind that our spaces are set up as true theaters. If you are looking to change how the room is set up, extra fee's will apply and may not be doable at all

Only dimmable white light is available. If you'd like special lighting/colors you (the renter) will be required to hire a lighting technician.

PLEASE NOTE: At this point the we can provide up to 4 individual handheld microphones. If you require more sound reinforcement, you (the renter) will be required to hire out sound gear and technicians. We have some great options for these professional services if you would like some suggestions.

Note: Depending upon the size and scope of the music preformed, we may not have the needed sound support and system for your event. If this is the case, we have some great sound/rental companies that would be happy to come through for you. You (the renter) are responsible to negotiate and pay for any extra sound needs.
